Wet & Dry Felted Scenery/Landscape

Two Day Workshop

Tuesday, Jan 27 & Wednesday January 28
Time:  2pm-5pm.

You will be creating a felted landscape artwork using wet felting methods and when dry, needle felting for the details. Your felted artwork will then be mounted onto an 11x14 canvas ready to hang!

Learn to Crochet
​& Make a Blanket
​

Six Week Workshop

Tuesdays: Jan 13, 20, 27, Feb 3, 10, 17

In this 6 week beginner program you will learn basic crochet stitches, colour switches, how to read a pattern, and weaving in all your yarn. You will complete a beautiful crocheted blanket in this program.

​Instructor: Teresa Thomas

Prerequisite: No experience necessary.

​Ages: 13+

Supply list: 6mm Crochet hook, Scissors. 10 total balls of this yarn. Recommended Yarn for this project is Loops & Threads Soft Classic (available at Michael's). At least 2 colours and up to 5 coordinating colours are recommended. Choose as many or little colours as you would like.

​The Freedom of Oil Painting: Basics, Technique & Colour

This course is a technique based learning workshop for all, beginner to advanced, facilitating any style, but very useful for those wishing to develop artwork within the category of realism or Old Masters. 

Covering:
  • preparations, brush selection, palette set up and colour mixing demonstration and exercises, start of art piece(s) 
  • more colour mixing, composition, glazing technique, drying mediums and oils, how they work
  • hands on guided practice, continuation of painting, sharing, question and answer.
Photo references of choice can be supplied from the library of the artist, homework throughout the 3 sessions for those so inclined, with artist support.
