Ron PearceI put my heart and soul into my art and it has taken me places I would not of dreamed. I have found the act of creating is my true passion. Each piece is a journey of feelings and emotions. A chance to learn in any medium I have used. Represented for a year in Canada House in Banff, Amsterdam Whitney Gallery in New York City, Shows in McMichael Gallery in Klienburg, Paint Ontario in Grandbend and 5 Western Art Showcases at the Calgary Stampede. I have over 20 Best of Show level ribbons with 6 awards from Paint Ontario. Artist Explanation of Work For this exhibition I am bringing a variety of my acrylic paintings including prints and blank greeting cards. In my travels across Canada I have seen amazing landscapes that will always be in my heart.

Susan PerrySusan Perry is a Petrolia artist. She began her art education studying Illustration and her work reflects those roots. Susan is an avid sketch-booker and her many journals have become a visual record of her personal life and art work. She strives to draw every day. Susan has continued her practice of figure drawing for decades because she believes that this practice helps her drawing skills. She describes herself as a printmaker. Susan works primarily with the relief print, usually in linoleum. She works in her Petrolia studio cutting the blocks and hand printing with a wooden spoon baren. Artist Explanation of Work “In Colour” is the first exhibition of Susan Perry’s colour work. Susan is an avid sketch-booker and has consistently visually journaled her life. She is sharing some ink and watercolour on-the-spot drawings that reflect that practice. Susan describes her paintings as a coloured drawings and she is sharing some of her gouache and watercolour work. Susan is a printmaker and has produced colour relief prints for this exhibition. |
