"If my nature & wildlife images can be influential enough to get people to appreciate what we have on this wonderful planet and impact even just a small few to learn to cherish, embrace, love, and protect it than I feel I am on the right path. "
Dave Sandford

In the News!

From the Sarnia Observer:

Acclaimed sports and nature photographer Dave Sandford will bring his work to Sarnia later this month with the launch of Jaws, Paws, and Claws, a collection of nature photography shot over three years in hard-to-reach locations around the world.
The exhibit, at the volunteer-run Gallery in the Grove in Brights Grove, will launch alongside a photographer meet-and-greet Oct. 21. It will be one of the first chances for Sarnia to see Sandford’s work, after he very successfully transitioned into nature photography in 2015 following years as a dedicated sports photographer.
It might be hard to track Sandford down before then; only two weeks before, the London, Ontario native was shooting humpback whales with his camera off the coast of Tonga, a country north of New Zealand in the Pacific Ocean.
“I’m always excited to share my imagery with people, to share the stories behind the images,” Sandford said. “The subjects that I choose to shoot are things I’m very passionate about. And they’re all things that, in my eyes, need some help.”
