Gallery in the Grove
With a dedicated Board of Managers, a membership of hardworking individuals and the support of the community, Gallery in the Grove strives to move forward into the future with excellence.
Nestled among a grove of towering trees in Wildwood Park is the historic and stately Faethorne House built in 1875.
In 1980, a small group of people interested in establishing an art gallery were given permission to use part of the property and it became Gallery in the Grove on the upper floor of the building. The Bright's Grove Library occupies the lower floor. Gallery in the Grove is a non-profit organization operated solely by volunteers. |

JEAN POOLE
Jean, a retired teacher, was born in Chatham and now resides in Corunna. Her great love of nature has inspired a deep passion for art and photography.
Her watercolour, acrylic and oil paintings either originate from her photography or are painted on sight as she frequently duplicates God’s many wonders.
Jean’s inspiration includes a flower’s vibrant colour, birds perched on a wire, a chipmunk collecting nuts, a dew drenched spider on a fall morning and a tranquil snowy day.
As an educator she believes one should never stop learning and growing and she has taken art instruction from local established artists who have inspired and enlightened her. As a member of SAW she has had opportunities to show her work in various locations in the Sarnia area. As Jean cultivates her own creativity, her love of painting continues to grow deeper.

DANIEL J. BELLYK
Dan, a resident of Sarnia, possesses a deep passion for photography. Whether creating a fine art perspective or on assignment for a commercial, industrial or aerial perspective, he dedicates himself to capturing his audiences with his compositions.
In each image he searches to draw out an unexpected angle that will entice viewers to explore his scenes further. Clients come to look for the attractively uncommon visual perspectives of landscapes, people and their endeavours and his images capture these in glowing daylight or luminous night time. In addition to many commercial clients, Dan’s work has been shown in the Canadian Museum of Nature, school text books and private collections.
Dan remains a student of photographic arts and sciences and pushes himself to apply an ideal combination of technical precision and modern photo imaging.
