Visiting Artists in Local Schools (VALS)
Gallery in the Grove has been offering the VALS program to Grade Six Sarnia Lambton elementary classrooms for over twenty years. VALS offers six hours of art instruction provided by three different professional artists. The program is designed to meet the requirements of the Ontario Curriculum. In 2024 over 750 students received the VALS program. Space is limited. Sign your classroom up today.

How much does VALS cost for my classroom?
VALS is FREE for your Grade Six classroom.

Will we do a split class? 
Yes we will. We will visit a straight Grade Six or a Grade Five/Six or a Grade Six/Seven.

Who are the Artist Instructors?
Gallery in the Grove hires three professional working artists to deliver the VALS program. Our 2026 artist instructors are: Susan Perry, David Moore and John Williams.

How Do I Register my Classroom?
The best way to register your classroom is to fill out the form. Our board members who organize VALS will then be in touch.
